Can you help a new Navy recruit?

Our listener's daughter will commission to the US Navy on May 6 and would like her Grandpa to be her first salute at the commissioning ceremony. He still has his Iowa National Guard uniform but since he wore it nearly 50 years ago it no longer quite fits.

They are looking to rent, borrow or even purchase an Army Class A uniform typical of the style worn by the National Guard in the 1960s in a 40" waist pant with 44" inch jacket. (Larger sizes would also work.) The styles have not changed much so it's a pretty broad window for the style. (I'm guessing this size may come from someone who stayed in the Army or Guard through their 30's or 40's). We'll have it professionally cleaned before returning it. It would mean a lot to all to have one for this one ceremony.

Contact Valerie (vking@adiis.net) or my cell phone number to call or text is 641-485-2708.
