Fake $50 turns up in Clive, Iowa

(CLIVE, Iowa) Clive Police are looking for a suspect who tried to pass a fake 50-dollar bill at a local convenience store last month.

Police say the clerk spotted the fake and didn't take it.  Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact the Clive Police Department, Detective Maurio Coleman at 515-867-5008.

Police also say there have been some reports of  phony money circulating that's actually prop-money used in motion pictures.

Police say the suspects are passing the so-called "movie" money at business and through classified ad sales.
