Fort Dodge house explodes with two sleeping inside PHOTOS

FORT DODGE, Iowa - There's not much left of a house in Fort Dodge this morning after an explosion that felt like an earthquake to neighbors Wednesday afternoon.

"We got up to look out the window and the front half of the house was gone.  It was just... collapsed.  It was gone."  Betty Habhab tells WHO Channel 13 the house was quickly engulfed in flames.  Then she saw someone.

"One guy walked out and dropped to his knees and started holding his head."  Habhab says.  "Yeah, I'm sure it rocked 'em pretty good inside the house.  They all work night shift so I'm sure they were sleeping."

"Hell of a way to wake up."  She said.

Fort Dodge Fire officials say two people were home at the time of the explosion and both got out with only minor injuries.  The State Fire Marshall will be at the house today to help investigate the cause of the fire.
