Crews on scene of anhydrous leak in Collins, Iowa

 

STORY COUNTY, Iowa- Crews are responding to an anhydrous leak at the Landus Cooperative, at 324 Railway St. in Collins, Iowa.

The affected area in the southeast corner of Collins has been evacuated.

Captain Nicholas Lennie tells WHO Radio News the evacuations include a handful of homes near the Landus Coop. He also confirms there have been no injuries.

Agencies currently working this incident include the Collins, Colo, Maxwell Fire Departments, Story County Sheriff’s Office and Story County Emergency Management.

Authorities are asking people avoid the area.
