Two more coronavirus deaths, 56 new cases in Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa -- There are two more deaths in Iowa from the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The Department of Public Health says they are person over the age of 81 in Poweshiek County and someone 61- to 80-years-old from Allamakee County. They make three COVID-19 fatalities in Iowa.

The Department also says there are an additional 56 cases of coronavirus in Iowa. There are now 235 cases in 46 counties.

Public Health says 32 people with the virus are in Iowa hospitals. 101 people who've tested positive have not been hospitalized, and 18 people have been discharged from hospitals and are recovering.

IDPH says there have been 3,740 negative tests for COVID-19.
