Second COVID-19 Related Death Reported In Nebraska

Nebraska officials have announced the second COVID-19 coronavirus related death in the state.

Early Friday evening, a statement from the Central Health District was released announcing the state's second coronavirus related death. The victim was identified as a Hall County woman in her 60's, who had underlying health issues. According to the statement, the woman was the third lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 and the first death reported in the Central District.

Anyone who had contact with the woman were asked to self-quarantine.

Nebraska's first recorded death was a Douglas County man in his 50's, who also suffered from underlying health complications. He had been in self-quarantine at home since March 11th after having contact with a know out-of-state COVID-19 case.

As of Saturday, Nebraska had reported 96 cases of COVID-19 and two deaths.
