Des Moines Police identify people killed in E. Diehl Ave. house

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Police are identifying two people found dead southeast Des Moines house.

Des Moines Police say Miranda Stierwalt, 27, and Daniel Dooley, 33, were found in a home at 1775 E. Diehl Ave. Wednesday afternoon.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that Dooley shot and killed Stierwalt and then shot and killed himself.

Police say the 10-year-old who made the initial 911 call is Stierwalt's child from a previous relationship. They say the child was not in the home when the shootings happened.
