WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - One person is hospitalized after getting shot by a police officer in West Des Moines.
Officers were assisting Clive Police with an investigation at a residence west of Valley High School in the 4300 block of Woodland Avenue at around 6:30 last night when the shooting took place.
The officer made contact with the person and fired their gun.
The condition of the person is not known, and West Des Moines Police have not released any further information.
