Waterloo, Iowa Police release names in deadly shooting

  • (Waterloo, IA) -- Waterloo Police are releasing the names of those who died after a weekend shooting at an after-hours club. Police say 22-year-old Da'Curious Burkett of Waterloo and 28-year old Takeye Hogan-Camp of West Des Moines died. Six others were treated for gunshot related injuries.

Those injured include:

  • Jayvon R. Sanford, 28, Waterloo, IA, treated for a gunshot injury to the leg.
  • Raymond Lindsey 22, Waterloo, IA, treated for a gunshot injury to the leg.
  • Shontavis D. Keller, 31, Waterloo, IA, treated for a gunshot injury to the leg.
  • Davon T. Biddle, 21, Waterloo, IA, treated for a gunshot wound to the hand.
  • Natiria U. Whitaker, 28, Waterloo, IA, treated for a gunshot wound to the leg.
  • Daquaylan L. Smith, 24 Rock Island IL, treated for a gunshot wound to the ankle.

Police are asking anyone who was near 501 West Fourth Street at the time of the fatal shooting, to call police at 319-291-4340, Option 3: Investigations.

You can also call Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers at 319-291-4340 or 855-300-8477. A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Callers can remain anonymous.
