(Des Moines, IA) -- A man serving time for domestic abuse assault is on escape status from Des Moines Work Release. The Iowa Department of Corrections says 34-year-old Nicholas Dewayne Jerrold Stone failed to return to Fort Des Moines yesterday (Sunday).
Stone was convicted of Domestic Abuse Assault-3rd or Subsequent Offense in Polk County. He was admitted to work release October 1st, 2021.
Stone is a 34-year-old white male, height 5'11", and weighs 282 pounds.
