(Des Moines, IA) -- Three Des Moines residents are facing attempted murder charges after a shooting on the city's north side. Police were called to 11th Place and Madison Avenue just after 9 o'clock Sunday night, after calls of gunfire. Police say more callers reported hearing shots near 11th Place and Seneca Avenue.

Police arrived and found a man and woman injured by gunfire. They are both hospitalized in serious condition.

Police determined the gunfire came from a residence in the 39-hundred block of 11th Place. Officers found three uninjured adults in the residence.

Police say the man and woman had gone to the home to retrieve some property and shots were fired during a discussion. Investigators say each of the three people in the home shot a firearm and the man and woman.

Sergeant Paul Parezik says a search was executed and multiple firearms were recovered.

The following people are charged.
• 59-year-old Robert David Lyons, Attempted Murder (3 counts)

• 37-year-old Rebecca Marie Lyons, Attempted Murder (3 counts)

• 29-year-old John Andrew Alcorn, Attempted Murder (3 counts), Felon In Possession Of A Firearm
