(Altoona, IA) -- The family of the boy that died on the Raging River ride at Adventureland in Altoona is suing the theme park.
The family of eleven-year-old Michael Jaramillo filed a wrongful death lawsuit today, claiming Adventureland continued to operate the ride while Michael and his brother were trapped underneath an overturned raft. The accident happened nearly one year ago and left Michael's brother with serious injuries. Michael died in the accident. The ride has remained closed since the accident occurred.
