(Hedrick, IA) -- A tornado was spotted just south of Hedrick, Iowa (north of Ottumwa) on Friday. According Sue Sylvester, who farms just south of town, says around four or five homes were destroyed in the area.

"South of our farm is where it started," Sylvester said. "It took out a house there and a cattle feed lot." Sylvester also reports multiple buildings sustained damage.

Damage is being reported in other parts of Iowa, including multiple reports of one inch hail, winds up to 80-miles per hour in Eastern Iowa, and buildings flattened near the Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville. Also, a couple of barns are down in Benton County, northwest of Cedar Rapids.
