(Des Moines, IA) -- City leaders in Des Moines are celebrating the opening of a small new park and recreation area at 7th and Walnut in downtown.
It's called EMC Downtown Park and will feature tennis and pickle ball courts, ping pong tables and seating areas.
The city says another 2,400 Des Moines residents will be served with the new park space.
They say it's one of a growing number of city parks that residents can travel to within just 10 minutes.
