(Sac County, IA) -- An Iowa state senator is accused of interfering with law enforcement during RABGRAI.

A criminal complaint filed by Sac County Sheriff's Office, Sgt. Jonathan Meyer said Sen. Adrian Dickey, R-Jefferson, was part of a group that stopped in the middle of the road Monday for about an hour and a half.

Meyer told Dickey to move, but he refused. Meyer said Dickey "kept arguing with me about what he was going to do."

Dickey was arrested and charged with interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor. He was released from the Sac County Jail after posting a $300 bond.

Dickey is scheduled to appear in court on August 8.
