Brief Tornado Spins Thru Northern Dallas County

(Dallas County, IA) -- A brief tornado caused some damage to a part of rural northern Dallas County this (Tuesday) morning, near Minburn. The tornado warning expired at 11:45 a.m. A radar indicated tornado warning was then posted for Boone County, however, there's no word of any damage at this time.

Dallas County Emergency Management Director AJ Seeley says the tornado started near Highway 44 and ended near Highway 141, and caused damage to some agricultural buildings. He says they have no heard of any damage to homes.

Nearly Iowa is under a tornado watch until 6 p.m. this evening.
