(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa's youngest drivers are poised to receive additional driving privileges pending Governor Kim Reynolds' signature on a new bill.

14-and-a-half to 16-year-old drivers would be permitted to drive to and from work within a 25-mile radius.

Young drivers could lose their licenses for three months if caught driving outside the permitted parameters.

The bill now awaits the governor's approval.
