(Des Moines, IA) -- Fifty-sx of Iowa's 99 counties are under burn bans. (see map below)

Dry, windy conditions have raised the risk of fire for many Iowa farmers as harvest is well underway. Nearly 60-percent of Iowa's soybean crop has been harvested. This week's crop report finds farmers have harvested 22 percent of the corn crop.

The National Weather Service is predicting above-normal temperatures with little to no chance of rainfall during the work week. Highs in the 70s are expected early in the week warming into the 80s late this week. There is little chance of rainfall during the week as dry conditions persist.

The U-S Drought Monitor has shown expanding dry conditions in Iowa for weeks.
