McTaggart Sworn In as 45th Chief of Des Moines Police

(Des Moines, IA) -- The City of Des Moines officially has a new Chief of Police. Major Michael McTaggart was officially sworn in as the 45th police chief Thursday afternoon at the World Food Prize headquarters downtown.

McTaggart replaces retiring Chief Dana Wingert. His hiring was unanimously approved by the Des Moines City Council earlier this month.
