(Mason City, IA) -- A man believed to be the last person to see a missing Iowa TV News anchor alive has died.

A private investigator says John Vansice, a friend of former KIMT-TV reporter Jodi Huisentruit passed away earlier this month in Arizona.

P.I. Steve Ridge says that Vansice had an aggressive form of Alzheimer's.

Vansice was considered a possible suspect by police, but told Ridge that he had no involvement in Huisentruit's disappearance.

Huisentruit went missing on her way to work in June of 1995. She was declared dead in 2001.
