U.S. Cellular to sell to T-Mobile, let go more than 4,000 nationwide

T-Mobile Plans To Lay Off Seven Percent Of Workforce Amid Heavy Competition

U.S. Cellular is selling to T-Mobile, and more than 4,000 employees are being let go.

But - T-Mobile says they plan offer a majority of those employees comparable jobs, according to a notice sent by U.S. Cellular last month.

The merger was initially announced in May of 2024.

Workers across the Midwest, including Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin are included.

The transition is scheduled for the first couple weeks of June.
