(Des Moines, IA) -- A Nevada man accused of stalking a woman and threatening a mass shooting now faces federal charges.

Federal documents say 28-year-old Tanner Bandy threatened to shoot as many people as possible at the Iowa State Commencement Ceremony before killing himself. Police say he used a picture of a person as a target at an Iowa City shooting range and was arrested the next day as he tried to renew his firearms permit. Police found guns, $2,000 in cash, and details about the ISU commencement ceremony during a search of Bandy's home and vehicle.

His next court date is May 1st.
