A Marshalltown man is facing more than 300 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony.
The Marshalltown Police Department says an investigation started in January of 2024, on the possibility of a person possessing child pornography.
A search warrant was issued for the suspect's home and evidence was seized about a month later.
Detectives with the Marshalltown Police investigated the data collected over the next year, leading to the arrest of 65-year-old Michael Benson on April 24.
