(DES MOINES, IA) — Two more ramps along I-80/35 near Hickman Road will close starting Monday, May 5, as part of a major interchange reconstruction project.
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, the following ramps will be closed:
- The northbound on-ramp from Hickman Road to I-80/35
- The northbound off-ramp from I-80/35 to Douglas Avenue (Exit 126B)
Both ramps are expected to remain closed through mid-August. The closures are part of a $94 million project to rebuild the interchange into a diverging diamond configuration, aimed at improving traffic flow and safety.
