Man Shoots Himself In The Leg During Drive-By Shooting In Knoxville

(Knoxville, IA) -- A man is facing multiple charges after accidentally shooting himself in the leg during a drive-by shooting in Knoxville.

The Knoxville Police Department received a report of gunfire along North Grant Street. Shortly afterward, 27-year-old Payton Phillips was admitted to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg and was identified as the shooter.

Phillips told authorities he unintentionally shot himself. No other injuries were reported.
