Iowa State University Police have arrested a now-former Iowa State student in a child porn case.

The investigation started in February of last year, after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified law enforcement of a person suspected of the uploads on social media.

ISU PD says the investigation lasted more than a year, leading to the arrest of 21-year-old Jacob Sauer, in Kansas.

He's expected to be extradited back to Iowa.
