One Injured After Driver Falls Asleep Behind The Wheel In Warren County

(Des Moines, IA) -- A Des Moines man is hospitalized after a driver fell asleep behind the wheel in Warren County.

According to the Iowa State Patrol Crash Report, 62-year-old Dale Acker of Greenfield was driving southbound on Interstate 35 when he fell asleep while driving. He veered into a ditch and hit 42-year-old Eric Randolph. Randolph was transported to a nearby hospital; his condition is unknown.
