A former winner of Iowa's Best Burger contest is permanently closing its doors.
JJ's Tavern and Grill in Ankeny announced on Facebook that the restaurant will be closing. A reason for the closure wasn't given.
The restaurant opened in November of 2023, and won Iowa's Best Burger contest the following May.
