(Des Moines, IA) -- An at-large Des Moines City Councilman is announcing his bid for re-election. Mike Simonson, who initially won a special election last year to replace Connie Boesen after she was elected Mayor of Des Moines, is seeking a full term.
In a statement, Simonson pledged to continue working on the issue of homelessness if re-elected.
Election Day for city council members is November 4.
