A former Central Iowa teacher is facing a sexual exploitation charge.
Marshalltown Police say they started an investigation last month of a teacher at Marshalltown High School possibly having inappropriate contact with a student.
Police determined the teacher, a part-time substitute and club administrator, did have inappropriate contact with a student.
63-year-old Daniel Terrones resigned from the district earlier this month, and turned himself in to police on Thursday.
