(Dallas County, IA) — A Dallas County man is suing DraftKings, claiming the sports betting company owes him $14.2 million in winnings.

Nicholas Bavas says he placed a five-leg parlay bet on the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Golf Tournament, which ended early on February 3rd after 54 holes due to weather. Bavas placed his bets late that night and says all five were winners.

DraftKings voided the bets and refunded his original wagers, citing rules about event completion. Bavas argues the company was still accepting bets despite the weather and that PGA officials declared third-round scores final, locking in his wins. His attorney says the rules DraftKings cited don’t apply to his bets.
