(DES MOINES, IA) – Joshua Ryan Carmody, 32, has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the 2024 murder of Sayvon Propps at a Des Moines Ramada Inn.
A Polk County jury convicted Carmody of first-degree murder, burglary, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Prosecutors said video evidence and witness testimony were key in the case.
Carmody remains in custody pending transfer to state prison.
