(Des Moines, IA) -- Another Republican is entering the race for the party's nomination in the 2026 governor's race. State Rep. Eddie Andrews is in the middle of his third term in the Iowa House of Representatives, currently serving portions of the Des Moines metro, including Johnston and Urbandale. Outside of politics, he's an app developer and minister. He filed formal paperwork with the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board last week. Andrews is the second Republican to officially file after former State Rep. Brad Sherman. US Representative Randy Feenstra and State Sen. Mike Bousselot have formed exploratory committees to consider entering the race.
