(TAMA, IA) -- Tama County authorities are investigating a swatting call made Wednesday morning, which they say was linked to the online video game "Fortnite."
The sheriff’s office says a 911 caller falsely reported a shooting and threats to law enforcement, prompting a response from multiple agencies. Police checked several homes before determining the call was a hoax.
Investigators have not identified the caller.
