(West Des Moines, IA) — A body was found by police in a parking lot in West Des Moines this morning.
“Our officers arrived and found the remains of a deceased adult female. The evidence at the scene right now indicates there is no threat to public safety,” said Sergeant Dan Wade with the West Des Moines Police Department.
Wade said the woman was found in the Barnes & Noble parking lot off University Avenue.
Police are continuing to investigate but do not believe her death was the result of criminal activity.
