Des Moines Police Investigate A Shooting on City's South Side

(Des Moines, IA) -- One man was injured in a shooting on the south side of Des Moines Sunday evening. According to a post on X by the Des Moines Police Department, officers were called to the 6400 block of Southeast 3rd Street.

Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, and his injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

Police stated there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the neighborhood. The investigation is ongoing.
