(Iowa) -- Prices at the grocery store continue to be a major concern for Iowans.

The latest annual Iowa Farm Bureau Food and Farm Index survey of Iowa grocery shoppers shows prices continue to be the most important concern when determining which products to buy. The survey, conducted by The Harris Poll, shows 80% of shoppers also say they're concerned about government policies that increase food prices.

Nearly 9 out of 10 Iowa grocery shoppers say farmers should be allowed to use a variety of farming practices to offer consumers more options and choices. Prices at the grocery store rose by 23.6% in Iowa between 2020 and 2024.
