The EMC Expo Center in downtown Des Moines was briefly evacuated after a man rushed the stage at the National Speech and Debate tournament
Des Moines Police say the man was taken into custody by officers working the event. No weapons were seen or have been recovered at this time.
Police have given the all clear, and the event is resuming Thursday afternoon.
