(Nevada, IA) -- The Story County Animal Shelter maintains its no-kill status.
The latest annual report from Best Friends Animal Society finds that the Story County Animal Shelter in Nevada saved 90% or more of the dogs or cats that came into the shelter last year. The shelter says it's been operating as a no-kill shelter for the past several years but recently began receiving national recognition for its efforts.
