The Des Moines Public School Board is filing a lawsuit against the firm hired to facilitate the superintendent search that resulted in the hiring of Ian Roberts.
School Board Chair Jackie Norris said One-Fourth Consulting LLC, doing business as JG Consulting, failed to "properly vet candidates."
According to a news release, the lawsuit claims breach of contract and negligence.
The district has requested a jury trial and is seeking damages "in an amount to be determined at trial."
