(Iowa) -- The State of Iowa is distributing almost one-point-nine-million dollars to expand access to cheaper biofuels.

The Iowa Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program will send funds to nearly 50 gas stations to help them upgrade or add equipment to make E15 and biodiesel more accessible. The grants will also help the retailers prepare for a law requiring most fuel stations to provide E15 gasoline starting January 1.

More than 65 million dollars has been distributed through the program since it launched in 2006.
