(Iowa) -- A private investigator is doubling the reward in the search for a former news anchor who went missing 30 years ago.

Steve Ridge is offering $100,000 in reward money to find the remains of Jodi Huisentruit.

She disappeared on her way to work in Mason City in 1995 and police believe she was abducted.

Ridge, who is a licensed private investigator in Iowa, is hoping the reward will increase the chances of cracking the case. He says a similar reward helped locate a key witness in another cold case in Pennsylvania.

The offer is valid through June 27, 2026, which is the 31st anniversary of her disappearance.
