(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Buccaneers are hitting the ice with a fresh name in January. For one night only, the hockey club will rebrand as the Des Moines 6-7’s Hockey Club on January 17.
The Bucs say the name change is meant to connect with younger fans and blend hockey with today’s culture.
The team will wear special 6-7 jerseys during their matchup against the Dubuque Fighting Saints at the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex.
