(Undated) -- China has purchased only two-thirds of the U.S. soybeans it committed to buying during trade talks in October.

Bloomberg News reports sources as saying the Chinese government has only bought 8-million of the 12-million tons they promised to by an end of 2025 deadline.

U.S. officials say the deadline was pushed back to February shortly after the deal was announced, and more orders have been placed through March.

China's increased the number of soybeans they buy from Brazil by 16% last year to 80% of the entire 2025 Brazilian soybean harvest.
