The future of the Iowa Barnstormers has been announced, and it includes a new game plan, a new league, and a new head coach--who is originally from Iowa.

The Iowa Barnstormers organization announced at a press conference in Des Moines Wednesday morning that they are the newest member of the Indoor Football League, or IFL.  President Jeff Lamberti says its a better business model and economic fit for the team. "Hopefully it will help build local rivalries and get fans to more road games with some closer cities. "

President Lamberti says they've also hired a new coach--Joe Brannen. He's a former quarterback for the Barnstormers,  who grew up in Colo, and played football at Coe College.  He's been coaching in Texas for the past few years.
