A new poll is out showing the Iowa U.S Senate race is a dead heat.
The NBC-Marist Poll indicates Democratic Congressman Bruce Braley and Iowa State Senator Joni Ernst are tied at 43% with 14% of those surveyed still undecided in the race.
One third of the poll's respondents actually said they are unsure about their opinions. Braley gets positive remarks from 36% of those surveyed while 32% dislike him. Ernst gets a 38% favorable rating and an unfavorable rating at 33%
The poll also found women prefer Braley over Ernst 45-to-38% while men favor Ernst over Braley 48-to-40%
The poll also touched on the Iowa governor's race and incumbant Terry Branstad commands a double digit lead over Democratic State Senator Jack Hatch 53-to-38%.
The survey touched base with 1,599 voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2 and a half percent.
