While Iowans voting in our 2014 Iowa State Fair online poll still favor Republican Gov. Terry Branstad, a former Des Moines school board member's now in 2nd place.

Iowa Party candidate for governor Jonathan Narcisse is in second place, with 29 percent of the vote.  Branstad has 52 percent and Democrat Jack Hatch is last with 14 percent.

In the US Senate race, Republican state senator Joni Ernst leads Bruce Braley 86-14 percent, while three Republican candidates for Congress are ahead in their districts. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, David Young and incumbent Steve King all have leads over their challengers.  But so far, there have been only a handful of northeast Iowans taking the poll, and Democrat Pat Murphy leads in the 1st District over GOP candidate Rod Blum.
