Man facing charges after Des Moines, Iowa chase

Des Moines Police caught a man, who led them on a short chase through the city's south side this (Tuesday) afternoon.

Police tell WHO Radio News the man, Mark Jackson, was wanted for violating parole and probation, and will now be facing new charges.

Police began to chase Jackson, who was driving a black Lincoln near Army Post Road and Fleur Drive. He continued north on Fleur Drive to Bell Avenue, then east.  Police say he eventually ditched the car in a residential neighborhood, south of Bell Avenue.  Officers caught him in a wooded area and took him into custody.
