Iowa Agriculture Secretary Bill Northey joined us by phone this morning to talk about his nomination as USDA Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation. Evidently, if he is confirmed, he will have to no longer be involved with farming his farm. I asked him how he feels about that and Van pressed him to find out what he knew and how long he knew about this nomination. You can hear the entire interview by clicking below.
Reverend Keith Ratliff and Chris Hurley of Joshua Christian Academy joined us in the studio just after the 8:30 news. They are now in their 9th year of existence and in that time, they have grown from just 9 students to 138 students. They are located northeast of the Capitol Building at 1740 Garfield Avenue.
