(DES MOINES, Iowa) A car slammed into the side of the Polk County Central Senior Center at 2008 Forest Avenue before Noon today (Thursday).
Des Moines Police Sergeant Paul Parezik tells WHO Radio News, an elderly male driver was backing up in the parking lot, and backed over a curb into the south side of the building. The driver was not injured. Two women were inside the building at the time. One was treated at the scene, another was taken to a Des Moines hospital to be checked out, but police do not believe she suffered any serious injuries.
